Prof. Omprakash Mishra (born 1961) is a Professor of International Relations at Jadavpur University, Kolkata. A dedicated Congress activist from his college days at Balurghat in Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal; he is General Secretary, West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee (WBPCC) and Member, All India Congress Committee (AICC). A Former Member of National Security Advisory Board (NSAB) to the Prime Minister and a former Pro-Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Prof. Mishra is associated with a range of organizations and institutes. He is the founder and Member Secretary of Global India Foundation. He is also Member of the Board of Governors, MDI, Gurgaon. Professor Mishra is a member of prestigious India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi as well.
